Bahamasair Launches New Flights to Bimini

Bahamian national carrier Bahamasair has launched its newest route to The Bahamas.

The carrier has officially begun operating flights four times each week between Miami International Airport and the island of Bimini.

Flights on the 50-seat aircraft will depart Miami at 1:30 PM and arrive in Bimini at 2 PM, with return flights leaving Bimini at 2:30 PM and arriving in Miami at 3 PM.

Bimini, set just 50 miles from Miami, has increasingly found itself on the radar of travelers thanks in large part to the Resorts World Bimini development, a hotel and casino complex home to a Hilton-branded resort.

That’s helped renew attention to legendary spots like the flats where Dr Martin Luther King went bonefishing and the historic Bimini Big Game Club hotel.

“We’re thrilled to welcome visitors via Bahamasair this summer and beyond,” said Resorts World Bimini President Missy Lawrence. “These new flights will bring Resorts World Bimini even closer to travelers who are looking for a perfect island vacation.”
