This Marriott All-Inclusive Resort Is Coming to Barbados —  And You Can Book It With Points

By: Karen Udler - June 25, 2025 - 5:26 pm

Barbados has long been a haven for adults in search of refinement — the kind of place where luxury and culture blend in quiet, confident harmony. Now, that ethos is becoming the foundation of a new resort concept that aims to redefine what an adults-only all-inclusive can be.

Royalton Vessence Barbados, An Autograph Collection All-Inclusive Resort – Adults Only is set to debut on the island’s Platinum Coast in Summer 2026. It’s a rebranding of the Royalton CHIC Barbados resort that is already set to open next year.

But this isn’t just a rebranding — it’s a philosophical shift. Formerly known as Royalton CHIC Barbados, the property has been reimagined as the flagship for Royalton Vessence, a new adults-oriented brand designed to deepen the travel experience through art, design, and sensory presence.

A Calmer Kind of Luxury

The mood here is curated, not programmed. Guests are welcomed into airy, art-filled spaces inspired by the textures and tones of Barbados itself. Local artwork lines the walls. Design elements whisper stories about place. Even the suites — including the art-forward Chairman Suites — have been thoughtfully composed to evoke calm, beauty, and a sense of rooted luxury.

Rather than chase trends, Royalton Vessence leans into slowness. It’s the kind of place where you can take a pottery class in the morning and return at night for a live acoustic set under soft lighting. The Studio, a central gathering space, transforms throughout the day — from hands-on workshops to moody jazz performances that extend into the evening.

Sensory Wellness and Soulful Spaces

At the heart of the resort’s wellness concept is Moddo by Royalton FIT, a holistic program that combines movement, mindfulness, and expression. Expect yoga and breathwork led by expert coaches, along with spaces designed for digital detox — no screens, just silence, sky, and maybe the sound of waves.

Evenings bring another kind of immersion. The resort will debut the region’s first glow-lit pools, inviting guests to swim under the stars in illuminated water, a literal plunge into tranquility. And from check-in to departure, the experience is frictionless — including complimentary airport transfers.

A New Addition to Barbados

“We’ve been deeply inspired by the creativity, energy, and warmth of Barbados,” said Jordi Pelfort, President of Blue Diamond Resorts. “This brand was created to bring each destination to life through every experience at the resort.”

That’s the philosophy behind Vessence: the idea that you don’t need to leave the property to feel the island. You just need to be present in it — through the flavors in your dinner, the brushstrokes on the canvas, the music floating through an open window after dark.

Royalton Vessence Barbados isn’t just the debut of a new resort — it’s the quiet start of a more mindful kind of Caribbean travel. One where the most memorable moments are not the loudest, but the most deeply felt.

And yes, you’ll be able to book with your Bonvoy points.
