Nassau Is Getting New Daily Flights From Detroit
The restaurant scene is one of the hottest in the hemisphere. The beaches are some of the best in the world. And did we mention the dynamic cocktail culture?
Nassau is one of our favorite places to visit in the Caribbean, and it’s getting even simpler to visit this winter, Caribbean Journal has learned.
Delta has revealed plans to expand its flights from Detroit to Nassau’s Lynden Pindling International Airport this winter, that would expand service from what is currently once-weekly Saturday flights to daily nonstop service.

The expansion will last from Dec. 20 through April 12, 2026, meaning a significant ramp-up of seats to the destination.
As we’ve noted before, Detroit is becoming an increasingly important source city for Caribbean travel, both for its position in the midwest and for its proximity to Ontario, from which many travelers can easily fly out of Detroit.
It’s another boost for Nassau & Paradise Island, which has become one of the centers of the experiential travel movement in the broader Caribbean in the last few years.
