Bahamas Cruise Passenger Arrivals Keep Climbing
Cruise arrivals to The Bahamas continue to surge, with the region’s most popular cruise destination showing no signs of slowing down.
The Bahamas reported 2.759 million cruise passenger arrivals in the first quarter of 2025, according to data from the Barbados-based Caribbean Tourism Organization.
That represented an 11.5 percent increase over the same period last year, one of the highest growth rates in the Caribbean.
That came in stark contrast to destinations like Jamaica, which saw a 13.4 percent decline in the first quarter, and Saint Lucia, which saw a 12 percent reduction in cruise arrivals.
The news comes as downtown Nassau continues its renaissance, from the ever-expanding Graycliff Heritage Village to the transformed Nassau Cruise Port.
Later this year, Nassau’s harbor will be home to the new Royal Beach Club destination on Paradise Island.
