How to arrive in style

Attention hoteliers: Want to make your guests feel as if they’ve arrived before they even check in?

Take a page from the playbook of Paradise Island, Bahamas resort One & Only Ocean Club, whose guests are whisked from Nassau’s Lynden Pindling International Airport in a tricked-out Bentley Flying Spur.

On a recent visit to the resort we couldn’t help but be impressed with the plush airport pickup, its leather-and-walnut interior featuring niceties such as bottled water (resort-branded, natch); The New York Times digest; a mobile phone-charger; pen and paper; and homemade Bahamian mints. But the perk that we appreciated the most was in the in-cabin WI-FI, which was fast, didn’t require a password, and allowed us to Instagram our sweet ride mere minutes after we stepped inside.

The 2007 car is just one of a fleet of luxury vehicles provided by local company Distinguished Enterprises, which provides transportation for One & Only guests and VIPs at neighboring Atlantis resort.
