One of the fastest-growing cruise ports in the Caribbean just set another record.

Thanks to recent calls by Celebrity Beyond and Norwegian Sky, the Antigua Cruise Port just set an all-time passenger record, with more than 500,000 passengers since the beginning of 2024.

That includes a total of 255 ships calls — 42 more than this time last year, and more than 105,281 passengers above the first half of 2023.

The elevated numbers “extremely exciting for us,” Cynthia Jacobs Browne, officer-in-charge at the Antigua Cruise Port, said in a statement provided to Caribbean Journal.

“We are on track for a record-breaking year, and we could not be prouder of our team and our success at this point,” Browne said.

Looking ahead to the summer, bookings are also up she said.

What’s next?

“We are on course to outperform last year’s numbers,” she said.
