Aruba Airport Traffic Keeps Climbing

Aruba tourism has been surging, and that’s led to continued strong performance for the island’s Queen Beatrix International Airport, which is becoming an increasingly popular hub for the wider region and beyond. 

The airport just released its annual report, and the numbers are excellent. AUA reported almost 2.9 million passengers handled — a growth of more than 14 percent compared to the previous year.

That included the addition of five new destinations and two brand new airlines, including from the increasingly important South American market. 

“We are committed to continue to work towards reaching our goals in becoming that leading airport in the Caribbean,” said Joost Meijs, CEO of the Aruba Airport. 

Airport officials also released results of its annual passenger survey, showing an “all-time-high” of passenger satisfaction and guest experience.
