Voco is coming to Cancun.

IHG Hotels & Resorts is bringing its voco Hotels brand to Cancun with the signing of a new 160-room property, part of a major six-hotel expansion across Mexico, Caribbean Journal has learned.

voco Cancun will feature lagoon-view rooms, versatile meeting spaces and dedicated wellness areas, positioning the hotel as a sophisticated option for business travelers within Cancun’s bustling hotel zone. Its location will provide convenient access to the airport, government districts and downtown, making it well-suited for corporate guests seeking both comfort and connectivity.

The Cancun hotel is one of six voco properties IHG is developing in partnership with Alliance Hotels, with other locations set for Guadalajara, Ciudad Juarez, San Luis Potosi, Torreon and Nuevo Laredo. Together, the hotels will add 848 rooms to the brand’s presence in Mexico, where voco currently has four open and five in the pipeline.

Significant renovations will transform each property with the brand’s signature hallmarks — from vibrant social spaces and distinctive arrival experiences to warm, friendly service and thoughtful design touches that create a welcoming, contemporary atmosphere.

The voco Cancun is slated to open in 2027, part of a broader expansion strategy that includes more than 100 voco hotels currently in the global pipeline.
