A New Way to Fly to the Dominican Republic’s Top Resort

It’s one of the buzziest resorts in the hemisphere right now: the Casa de Campo Resort and Villas in the Dominican Republic, unquestionably the premier place to stay in the country.

While you can reach Casa de Campo by flying to Punta Cana International Airport or Las Americas International Airport in Santo Domingo, Casa de Campo is actually home to its own international airport: La Romana International Airport. 

And now, thanks to Dominican Republic-based RED Air, you can fly nonstop from Miami International Airport right into La Romana.

RED Air is now operating regularly-scheduled service between Miami and La Romana, with flights between five and seven times per week.

Beginning this summer, RED Air announced it will be operating daily nonstop flights between Miami and La Romana.

That flight schedule will be running on the carrier’s MD-80 fleet through at least mid-January 2024, according to RED Air. 

It’s another way to visit Casa de Campo, which has seen sizzling demand, particularly since the onset of the pandemic, both at its resort and its broad collection of luxury villas.

It has helped place a new spotlight on a resort that is arguably the most complete in the wider Caribbean, from its collection of golf courses (led by the legendary Teeth of the Dog) to a superyacht marina and Altos de Chavon, a meticulously recreated 16th-century Mediterranean village.

The luxury property just unveiled its most significant addition in years, with the opening of its new Premier Club resort-within-a-resort, which includes 58 rooms ranging from junior suites to premier suites and everything from Kohler bathroom amenities to full wet bars.
