Following the high-profile reopening of the Sandals Dunn’s River resort, three more Sandals resorts have reopened in Jamaica, Caribbean Journal has learned.

The Sandals Royal Plantation, Sandals Ochi and Sandals Negril all-inclusive resorts are also now open and operating.

“There’s a real sense of momentum across Jamaica right now,” said Sandals Executive Chairman Adam Stewart. “Our airports are open and welcoming flights from around the world. Tours and attractions, including the iconic Dunn’s River Falls, Negril’s famed Seven Mile Beach and Mystic Mountain for fans of Jamaican bobsledding, are all ready and waiting for you.”

Sandals also reopened its Beaches Negril family-friendly resort, as we reported.

We were on hand for the relaunch of Sandals Dunn’s River, which is back and better than ever.

Sandals Royal Plantation
Set on a prime bluff in Ocho Rios, Sandals Royal Plantation is the brand’s intimate, all-butler boutique resort, known for just 74 oceanfront suites, personalized service and access to a pair of private cove beaches. The reopening restores one of Jamaica’s most elegant stays, including its signature terrace suites, the Le Papillon French restaurant and the resort’s storied afternoon tea service overlooking the sea.

Sandals Ochi
The largest of the reopened properties, Sandals Ochi returns with more than 500 rooms and suites, including the popular Riviera Bamboo Grove accommodations and the resort’s hillside villas with private pools. The reopening brings back the vibrant beach club, 16 restaurants, and the Great House area — along with the Caribbean’s first speakeasy, The Rabbit Hole. It’s one of the island’s most wide-ranging all-inclusive resorts, balancing quiet garden enclaves with lively beachside energy.

Sandals Negril
Located directly on Seven Mile Beach, Sandals Negril has reopened with its trademark beachfront suites, from the swim-up Crystal Lagoon rooms to the beachfront walkouts just steps from the sand. The resort features seven restaurants, popular dive and water sports programs, and uninterrupted views of Jamaica’s famous Negril sunsets. It remains one of the island’s most romantic all-inclusive options, known for a low-key atmosphere and a long stretch of powdery shoreline.

With four major Sandals resorts now back open — Dunn’s River, Royal Plantation, Ochi and Negril — Jamaica heads into peak season with expanded inventory, renewed investment and a strong sense of forward movement.

It’s part of what has been an impressive reopening push for the island so far, with more hotels slated to open later this month.
