Tradewind Aviation, the private aviation specialist known for its shared-charter model, is making a significant expansion in the Bahamas. The company will debut new scheduled service to Nassau and increase flights from Fort Lauderdale to Marsh Harbour and North Eleuthera beginning Dec. 11, a move that will triple its flight capacity across the region.

All flights will operate from private jet terminals aboard Pilatus PC-12 aircraft, with two pilots, pressurized cabins and complimentary onboard refreshments. The expansion reflects strong traveler demand for smoother, more personalized access to the Out Islands, particularly for visitors connecting to private-island resorts, villa stays and boutique retreats.

Nassau

Tradewind’s new route to Nassau launches from Stuart, creating a direct private-terminal connection to the capital for the first time. The service is designed for travelers who want a faster, quieter path into Nassau’s luxury hotels and marinas without moving through the commercial terminals. It also gives yacht crews, villa travelers and winter residents a more efficient alternative during peak periods, when airport congestion often slows arrival times.

Marsh Harbour

The expansion into Marsh Harbour adds new flights from Fort Lauderdale, complementing the existing service from Stuart. Marsh Harbour remains one of the most important gateways in the Abacos, connecting travelers to Hope Town, Man-O-War, Elbow Cay and a wide range of villa and boating experiences. Tradewind’s growth here strengthens access to a region where reliable lift continues to be among the top considerations for both leisure travelers and second-home owners.

North Eleuthera

The route into North Eleuthera will now operate from both Fort Lauderdale and Stuart, extending a service that previously ran seasonally into a year-round operation. The airport serves Harbour Island, The Bluff and the northern coastline of Eleuthera, giving travelers a streamlined option for reaching one of the Bahamas’ most in-demand destinations. The private-terminal arrival and the PC-12’s small-scale configuration make it particularly appealing for visitors heading to upscale boutique properties, vacation homes and wedding groups.

Year-Round Access

Tradewind’s decision to keep its Stuart–Marsh Harbour and Stuart–North Eleuthera flights operating for the full year is a significant shift for the market. It gives travelers planning long-term stays, off-season getaways or villa rentals reliable lift at any time, not just during winter peaks.

The expansion solidifies the Bahamas as a central piece of Tradewind’s Caribbean strategy and underscores the growing demand for premium, seamless travel into the archipelago’s most sought-after islands — from the capital to its most remote and exclusive enclaves.

Tradewind operates a growing network across the region, including to destinations like St Barth out of San Juan.
