Caribbean Week Is Coming Back to New York, And It’s Adding a Cultural Showcase
It’s the biggest celebration of the Caribbean in the Big Apple: Caribbean Week, the Caribbean Tourism Organization’s annual summertime event that puts the spotlight on the region in the world’s biggest media market.
Now, the Caribbean Tourism Organization has added a new event to the Caribbean Week in New York (CWNY) 2025 schedule: the Caribbean Cultural Showcase.
The showcase, which celebrates “Caribbean music, dance, cuisine and artistry,” according to the CTO, will take place at The Westin New York at Times Square on June 5 from 4 pm to 8 pm.
The idea is to provide what the Barbados-based CTO calls an “immersive experience of authentic Caribbean culture, featuring performances, culinary delights, and displays of island artistry.”
This year’s Caribbean Week is being held under the theme of “Caribbean Resilience: Crafting Tomorrow’s Tourism.”
That’s part of the CTO’s new push, which spotlights the region’s cultural heritage as a cornerstone of sustainable tourism development.
Caribbean Week is all about providing a platform for the region: both or the Caribbean diaspora communities in New York to reconnect with their roots and to introduce potential visitors to the rich experiences you can only find within the Caribbean.
