St Vincent and the Grenadines Is Making a New Push for UK Travelers
St Vincent and the Grenadines has launched a year-long tourism campaign in London aimed at increasing awareness and driving visitor arrivals from the United Kingdom.
The campaign, called Discover More, debuted this week in Kensington Court in collaboration with Virgin Atlantic. It includes a fleet of 10 branded black cabs featuring destination imagery, which will circulate throughout London over the next 12 months.
The initiative is designed to promote travel to St Vincent and the Grenadines via Virgin Atlantic’s direct flight from London Heathrow to Argyle International Airport. It also supports vacation bookings through Virgin Atlantic Holidays, where six properties are currently listed: Sandals Saint Vincent, Bequia Beach Hotel, Blue Lagoon Hotel & Marina, Young Island Resort, The Liming Bequia, and Bequia Plantation Hotel.
St Vincent and the Grenadines Tourism Minister Carlos James said the campaign supports the country’s broader efforts to position itself as a globally competitive tourism destination and increase visibility in a key source market.
St Vincent has been seeing record-breaking tourism arrivals, as we reported. The growth is almost single-handedly driven by the opening last spring of the country’s new Sandals St Vincent and the Grenadines resort. It’s an impact we’ve repeatedly termed the “Sandals Effect.”
