It was a record-breaking year for the island of Bonaire in 2024, and the burgeoning Dutch Caribbean hotspot is showing no signs of slowing down.
Bonaire welcomed 18,899 visitors last month, up from 16,205 in the same period last year, an 11.8 percent jump over January 2024.
The mainland Dutch market still accounted for the plurality of visitors, with nearly 47 percent of all travelers to the island in January. Americans accounted for 28 percent.

About 30 percent of Americans were visiting for the island’s world-class diving, with the rest strictly coming for leisure vacations.
Bonaire has seen surging arrivals of late, particularly thanks to the November launch of JetBlue’s first-ever service to the island.
That flight has very strong fare right now, including for just $280 roundtrip out of New York, according to Google Flights.
