Our Favorite Eleuthera Resort Just Added a Brand-New Beach Hotspot

By: Alexander Britell - November 11, 2024 - 3:21 pm

There’s always been something about Eleuthera. Its name somehow seems to conjure up an extra degree of romance, of mystery. It’s a place that remains exotic for travelers. And in the last few years, the island in The Bahamas has been more popular than ever (including some brand-new flights).

But Eleuthera still remains under the radar, and that includes its hotels. While the island is home to some beautiful places to stay, most of them are independent, boutique and, well, not ones you’d have ever heard of.

Our favorite? The one at the far southern corner of the island, set on a 4,500-acre peninsula: Cape Eleuthera, a boutique resort filled with natural beauty, adventure and authentic Bahamian charm.

The resort made news last year with the debut of a collection of true toes-in-the-sand bungalows – the ones where you walk right out of your door onto the sand.

Now, Cape Eleuthera is at it again, with the opening of a brand-new beach hotspot called Harbour Pointe on the Beach.

It’s the perfect place for sunset cocktails, freshly-crafted Bahamian food and international fare.

And it’s all right on the sand.

If you come for New Year’s, you can enjoy a special celebration right on the beach, with a Junkanoo band and fireworks on one of the most beautiful stretches of sand in The Bahamas.

Cape Eleuthera is the essence of what we love about the islands: the unrivaled blend of sheer natural beauty, endless adventure, warm hospitality and the feeling that you’ve discovered a place that’s all your own, far from the crowds, far from the typical tourist path.

Whether you’re in the lovely beach bungalows or in one of the villas right at the marina’s edge, you’re getting a true, pure Out Islands adventure.

And once you do, well, you’ll be back. Again.
