This Kingston, Jamaica Hotel Just Completed a $2M Renovation

By: Caribbean Journal Staff - January 14, 2024

One of Kingston’s top hotels has just completed a significant renovation and rebranding, Caribbean Journal has learned.

The Courtleigh Hotel and Suites has finished a $2 million renovation program, one that began in December 2022.

The project included upgrades to each of the hotel’s 127 rooms and suites, along with the lobby, pool, garden terrace and two dining concepts: Alexander’s Restaurant and Mingles Pub & Lounger.

That’s along with new details like smart TVs, a pillow menu, and the introduction of authentic Jamaican Blue Mountain Coffee at the property.

“Our latest and most comprehensive renovation updates and improves upon every aspect of the guest experience at The Courtleigh. We’ve built upon our strong foundation for delivering personalized and proudly Jamaican hospitality to better meet the needs of today’s most discerning business and leisure travelers,” said Nicola Madden-Greig, group director of marketing and sales at the hotel.

As for the rebranding, it included a new logo and brand identity, focusing on a new tagline: “Unique, Personalized, Inviting.”

“We’ve raised the bar to provide a more elegant atmosphere with all the modern conveniences, while also maximizing guest comfort and convenience,” said General Manager Kate Hendrickson. “As before, our guests will feel more like they are staying in a stylish home than a typical hotel room. Only now, that stylish home will be more elegant and refined.”
