Why Lionel Richie Is Coming to Paradise Island in The Bahamas
Atlantis Paradise Island has been cementing itself as a new kind of music hub in the Caribbean in the last few years, centered around its “Music Making Waves” series. Now, the Bahamian resort is stepping things up again with a new “musical weekend” with legendary singer Lionel Richie.
This November, Richie will headline a new event called “Dancing on the Sand,” joined by stars like Sheryl Crow, Nile Rodgers and Chic, Megan Moroney, Vanessa Carlton and Jake Wesley Rogers.
The event, which runs Nov. 30 to Dec. 3, is not just a concert: it will include pool parties, meet-and-greets and hosted conversations.
That includes one with Richie himself, who will share favorite stories from his career.
The weekend will also include parties like a Sunset Soiree, a Hollywood Affair and a “Rewind Revue.”
