Leading Italian Chef Marcello Piacentini has opened a brand new eatery in Barbados.

It’s called Positano, and it serves up Italian costal cuisine in a casual dining atmosphere, set at the former Daphne’s restaurant.

The property, set on Barbados’ Platinum Coast, is a dual option: on the one hand, it’s part of the all-inclusive program for guests at Marriott’s The House and Tamarind resorts; on the other hand, it’s also open to non-hotel guests.

The menu includes fresh-caught seafood, handmade pasta and, early next year, handcrafted pizzas from an on-site Pizza Bar.

That’s along with a terrace including a broad selection of spirits and rums.
