In Antigua, a 17th Century Mansion Becomes a Boutique Hotel

By: Caribbean Journal Staff - December 29, 2021

One of Antigua’s oldest properties is set to become the island’s newest hotel early next year.

It’s called the Weatherills Hotel, and the family-owned boutique hotel is set in an historic, restored 17th-century colonial mansion.

There’s an on-site, working windmill on the 40-acre property.

The property, tucked amid 40 acres of gardens in northern Antigua, has a total of seven bedrooms.

That’s along with an on-site restaurant and flexible event space, including for weddings.

There’s even a working windmill on the property.
