American Airlines to Launch Daily Flights to Anguilla
Fresh off the launch of its first-ever nonstop flights to Anguilla, American Airlines has announced plans to add even more flights to the island.
Beginning April 2, American will operate daily nonstop flights from Miami to Anguilla.
American is currently operating two flights each week, with a third weekly flight set to begin on Jan. 5.
“We embarked on this journey with American Airlines with the objective of securing daily, year-round service to our island,” said Anguilla Premier Dr Ellis Webster. “We are immensely gratified that this goal has been achieved ahead of schedule. It is a testament to the overwhelming demand for our wonderful tourism product, and to American Airlines’ confidence in the experience and capability of our outstanding team on island, to support and promote their operation.”
The new scheduled is already loaded in American’s system and available for booking, according to the Anguilla Tourist Board.
“We are thrilled to start our daily service to Anguilla in April,” said Christine Valls, American’s Managing Director of Sales for Florida, Latin America and the Caribbean. “Anguilla is an important destination within our route network, one which we believe has tremendous potential for growth. We look forward to working with our Anguillian partners to develop both leisure and business tourism to the island and to the region.”
This month’s Anguilla launch came along with another ground-breaking route, the first-ever nonstop service from the US to Dominica.
