Sunwing Relaunching More Punta Cana and Cuba Flights

By: Caribbean Journal Staff - May 22, 2021

Sunwing is set for a major relaunch of its service from Hamilton, Ontario this winter, Caribbean Journal has learned.

That will be headlined by the relaunch of service from Hamilton to Punta Cana and Cuba.

On Dec. 10, the Canadian travel company will resume weekly Friday service from Hamilton to Punta Cana, with flights running through April 15.

The same week, Sunwing will relaunch flights to three destinations in Cuba: Cayo Santa Maria on Dec. 10, Varadero on Dec. 11 and Cayo Coco on Dec. 12.

All three Cuba routes will operate weekly through mid-April.

That’s along with a relaunch from Hamilton to both Montego Bay, Jamaica and Cancun, with Montego Bay service operating weekly on Saturdays beginning Dec. 11 and Cancun service on Sundays kicking off Dec. 12.

“We are excited to be resuming operations from John C. Munro Hamilton International Airport,” said Andrew Dawson, President of Tour Operations for Sunwing. “The airport offers residents of Hamilton and the surrounding GTHA with friendly service, shorter lines and economical parking options just a short drive from their homes. Our convenient flight service from the local airport will provide travelers with even more frictionless vacation experiences under our wing.”
