A Major New All-Inclusive Is Coming to the Riviera Maya
A massive new resort is slated to open in the Riviera Maya on the Caribbean coast of Mexico this summer, Caribbean Journal has learned.
It’s called Hotel Xcaret Arte, and it’s an expansion for the eco-focused Hotel Xcaret brand.
The new all-inclusive resort, which will be adjacent to the original Hotel Xcaret, will have a total of 900 suites, with a focus on Mexican art.
The resort will be set across five different “casas,” each with a different identity, from music to design to wellness.
Top Mexican chefs Ricardo Muñoz Zurita, Alejandro Ruiz, Roberto Solís, Paco Méndez, Jonatán Gómez Luna, Franco Maddalozzo, Orlando Trejo, Miguel Bautista and Luis Arzapalo partnered on the gastronomic program, while the wellness center will be anchored by the Muluk Spa.
The hotel’s event and convention space will be called La Casa del Patron.
In line with the resort’s art focus, guests will be able to engage in a number of unique experiences, from weaving to painting to pottery and dance.
Grupo Xcaret has named Jorge Ducoing as the hotel’s new director.
“Grupo Xcaret is characterized for offering creative and innovative experiences that demonstrate our love for Mexico in an authentic way. I’m confident that this new project will captivate the world as much as it has captivated us; nothing makes me prouder than contributing to promoting Mexican talent and art in its various forms,” he said in a statement.
