Sunwing Relaunching Cuba Flights

By: Caribbean Journal Staff - December 11, 2020

Sunwing is relaunching its flight service to Cuba on Dec. 13, Caribbean Journal has learned.

The Canadian travel giant will relaunch Cuba flights with weekly service from Toronto and Montreal to Cuba’s beach vacation hub of Varadero.

Both the Toronto and Montreal flights will be operating on Sundays, according to the company.

Canadians make up the vast majority of Cuba tourism arrivals, with Sunwing bringing more travelers to Cuba than any other tour operator.

“Our customers have been eagerly awaiting our return to Cuba and we’re excited to be bringing them back to this popular island under our wing,” said Samantha Taylor, Chief Marketing Officer at Sunwing Travel Group. “Cuba has been a favourite vacation destination of Canadian travellers for over 50 years. We have brought many Canadians to this beautiful destination in the past and we’re happy to help sun-seekers make their much-anticipated return to Cuba safely and responsibly.”
