Puerto Rico Is Getting New Nonstop Flights From Baltimore

By: Caribbean Journal Staff - January 5, 2020

Frontier Airlines is continuing its Caribbean push with plans for another new route to Puerto Rico.

The low-cost carrier will be launching new daily flights from Baltimore-Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport to San Juan, Puerto Rico.

The new service will operate daily, according to Frontier, with the flights set to begin on April 23.

It’s part of a broad expansion push for Frontier, which is also planning a major ramp-up of service to the Dominican Republic, and just announced plans to operate new flights between San Juan and Santo Domingo as well.

And the new service will add yet more seats to San Juan’s Luis Munoz Marin International Airport, which continues to see a surge in new routes and activity, particularly in the last year.

“We recognize the demand for affordable air travel and are proud to bring our brand of ‘Low Fares Done Right’ to these sought-after destinations,” said Daniel Shurz, Frontier’s senior vice president for commercial, in a statement.
