How to Make the Grenadines’ Greatest Rum Punch

It’s called Goatie’s Hammer and you could say that the signature rum punch at Petit St. Vincent, a private-island resort in the Grenadines, is a direct hit.

Named for Noel “Goatie” Victory, the longest serving employee at the all-inclusive enclave, it’s no ordinary rum cocktail. The potent drink packs quite a punch, powered not only by dark rum but also by equal pours of vodka, gin and peach liqueur. The result is a libation that comes on strong and finishes even stronger.

And that’s exactly how guests at beachfront Goatie’s Bar, who’ve been sipping the signature swig for more that six years, like it.

Petit St. Vincent’s Goatie’s Hammer

Ingredients

1 ounce dark rum

1 ounce vodka

1 ounce gin

1 ounce peach liqueur

3 ounce orange juice

2 ounces cranberry juice

.5 ounce lime juice

Method

Place all ingredients into shaker with crushed ice. Shake until cold. Pour into a tumbler, garnish with orange or lime slice, enjoy.
