When you’re looking for love, finding the right match is critical. The same applies you’re searching for the right all-inclusive resort among the more than 40 that line Punta Cana’s palm-fringed coast. CHIC Punta Cana by Royalton is a 320-suite adults-only that one of the Caribbean’s most energetic resorts and fresh new take on the traditional all-inclusive. The property opened about in 2015 on Uvero Alto’s golden sands.

CHIC Punta Cana

The Beach is Amazing Small coves have their charm but there’s nothing quite  like a stroll or an invigorating run along sands that stretch as far as the eyes can see. Step onto the beach at CHIC and you can enjoy a two-mile slice of Uvero Alto’s shore that will take you past an Instagram-ready leaning coconut palm as well as several other resorts, and offers the perfect opportunity to snap those sunrise and sunset selfies.

The Joy of Adults-Only Delivering luxury, which depends on consistent levels of service, isn’t an easy feat at hotels where those most unpredictable of tiny humans roam. (If you’ve ever flown in a first class cabin with a toddler on the loose, you know what we mean.) Not so at this oasis, exclusively for the 18-and-over crowd.

The Party Never Stops For some people, being on vacation means doing absolutely nothing. For others, it’s all about active adventure. But if you’re the type of traveler who wants to party until the wee hours every day of your vacay, this is your resort. While breakfast starts at 7am, CHIC’s in “sleep mode” until between 10am and 11am when all the guests who partied hearty the night before finally surface. So where’s the party at? Lubricated by mojitos from the swim-up bar, Spice, it starts at the curvaceous pool and spills over into the hot tub, where shrieks of laughter can be heard until past way past sundown. The hijinks continue at Excite, a sports bar that transforms into a nightclub (complete with stripper poles!); in the small casino; and in the various restaurants, where lively groups of four or more comprised the majority of diners while were in house.

Constant Pampering While all the resort’s rooms come with comp mini bars, rain showers and flat-screen TVs, staying in one of six categories of premium Diamond Level accommodations definitely has its perks. Among them: butler service; access to the Diamond Lounge for continental breakfast, cocktails and all-day snacks; and an exclusive section of the beach, where the sands are studded with cabanas serviced by solicitous waiters. Want more pampering? A few hours in the Royal Spa should do the trick.

Wake up, swim out Forget Folgers; the best part of waking up is rolling straight out of bed and into the water from CHIC’s 26 luxury swim-out junior suites, where a lap pool lies right outside your room door. If you aren’t already a morning person, trust us, these suites will turn you into one.

Culinary Excellence CHIC’s eight impressive restaurants – which includes only one buffet – serve everything from Punta Cana’s only Middle Eastern restaurant (Tagine) to ceviche and sushi at Pescari, to a private chef’s table at CX, Culinary Experience. Still hungry? Munchies snack bar and/or 24-hour room service will fill the gap.

The Sea Calls Move over, Ariel. There’s a new mermaid in town. And it could be you. An elevated pool, known as the Mermaid Pool, features glass windows on either side that allow guests walking by to admire your underwater swimming skills. You’ll need to be staying in a Diamond Club-level suite to gain access, but thankfully there’s no tail required.

CHIC Punta Cana

Great for Groups Taylor Swift isn’t the only one with a squad; we know you’ve got your crew, too. And if you’re traveling with friends or family in tow, Chic Mansion, the resort’s villa, is ideal. The six-bedroom/seven bathroom spread comes complete with butler service; a private pool and whirlpool; a fully stocked bar and lounge; kitchen and dining room. It even has it’s own fire pit, wine cellar and pool table. Plus you’ll get access to all the resort’s amenities; a 30-minute spa treatment, and perks of the hotel’s premium Diamond Club level.

Communication Want to stay in touch with the folks back home will appreciate the unlimited in-room calls to North America and most of Europe, complimentary when using the hotel’s free mobile app. And there’s fast and free WI-FI in rooms and throughout the resort, so you never have to miss a Facebook status update.
