Leading cruise line Princess Cruises has announced a new Caribbean destination.
The company will be offering several Caribbean vacation packages in 2017-2018, with the launch of new sailings to the twin-island republic of Trinidad and Tobago.
The cruises will be part of a new 14-day “Circle Caribbean” itinerary out of Fort Lauderdale that includes a stop in Trinidad.
Princess will also be launching a 14-day “Caribbean Connoisseur” voyage that includes a stop on the island of Tobago.
“As the amount of visiting ships grow in number, so too are the variety of on-shore activities and tours available for cruise passengers on both islands.” said Keith Chin, Chief Executive Officer at the Tourism Development Company of Trinidad & Tobago. “Cruise ship passengers disembarking on our unique islands can enjoy live local entertainment, a variety of island and community tour options and free Wi-Fi, all in a safe and secure environment.”
The twin-island country has been seeing the entry of several new cruise lines.
Last year, MSC Orchestra added stops in the country, with Saga Sapphire and Seven Ocean Princess also returning to the country last year.
That came as Carnival, too, added Tobago calls in recent years.
