This Will Be the Tallest Waterslide on the Sea

Royal Caribbean has unveiled the first renderings of what will be the tallest waterslide on any cruise ship.

The Ultimate Abyss, which will be located on the Harmony of the Seas cruise ship, a ship that will span 16 decks and encompass 227,000 gross registered tons.

The slide will launch from a glass platform and plunge 10 decks and travel 216 feet.

The slide will include a 100-foot-drop that twists and turns into a serpentine-like movement at a speed of around nine miles an hour.

It’s made of two separate cylinders, each a reflection of one another, each with a diameter of around 2.6 feet and made of stainless steel.
