Five Great Hotel Bars in Nassau

With great hotels typically come great hotel bars. And Nassau has both in large quantities. What we love about hotel bars is that they are a great way to sample the experience at a number of different properties, even if you’re only staying at one. Nassau and Paradise Island truly do have a host of terrific hotel bars, from boutique enclaves to large-scale luxury resorts. Here are five great ones.

Dune — One & Only Ocean Club, Paradise Island

Perched just above Cabbage Beach on Paradise Island, this is simply a wonderful place to be. Try it at sunset.

The Bar at Cafe Martinique — Atlantis Resort

Atlantis is a large resort, but there are a number of luxurious enclaves to get away from it all. One of them is the bar at the Cafe Martinique restaurant in the property’s Marina Village.

Outdoor Ocean Bar — Compass Point Beach Resort

The Outdoor Ocean Bar at the charming Compass Point resort is a beautiful place to spend a late afternoon on the water. It’s also open late — because you’ll probably want to stay as long as you can.

The Lounge — Graycliff Hotel & Restaurant

It’s the first part of any meal at the five-star Graycliff restaurant, but the colonial-era sitting room at Graycliff is also an outstanding bar in its own right. Come by, sit down and enjoy live piano music — every night.

Bullion — British Colonial Hilton

Enjoy the extremely high ceilings, wood paneling and what is a splendid selection of spirits. Of course, you can always just go for a Goombay Smash.
