The board of directors of the 7,000-acre Casa de Campo resort have named Peter Bonell as its new Chief Marketing Officer.

Bonell, who was recruited by Jose “Pepe” Fanjul, Jr, one of the resort’s principal owners, will be assuming a position created just for him, the resort said.

“Considering Mr Bonell’s extensive background in the industry, the decision to have him join Casa de Campo was a very easy one,” Fanjul Jr said. “Peter’s passion, energy and results-oriented mentality will undoubtedly yield impressive returns for the resort.”

Bonell’s previous work includes the position of vice president of sales and marketing at Grupo Punta Cana; vice president of sales and marketing at Colonial Williamsburg and vice president of sales and marketing at Hershey Entertainment and Resorts, among others.

“I am honoured to support Casa de Campo in this new role to introduce previous and future guests, and this resort’s expansive villa owners to our grand ‘Country Club of the Caribbean’ experience,” he said.

Casa de Campo, which is a member of the Leading Hotels of the World, is located in La Romana in the Dominican Republic.
