After 13 years of negotiations, the Bahamas and Cuba will officially sign an agreement on the delimitation of sea boundaries between the two states Monday.

Outgoing Cuban Ambassador Jose Luis Ponce Carabello will sign on behalf of Cuba, before he officially departs his post after five years on Wednesday.

The Bahamian Cabinet approved the agreement on Thursday, which will mean a clear demarcation of borders between the two islands.
