This Bequia Resort Is Planning a Big Expansion

By: Caribbean Journal Staff - January 29, 2020

Bequia’s newest resort is about to get a whole lot bigger, with a planned expansion by The Liming.

The Liming, which first opened at the end of 2018, has unveiled plans for an expansion project that will add another 24 hotel suites at the 30-acre property.

The project is the result of an investment by K Group and Scotland-based FM Group, one that “will ensure an end value in excess of $100 million,” according to the property.

The expansion will also include the addition of 30 new luxury villas on the property.

“We are delighted to be playing a major part in increasing the influx of visitors coming to Bequia,” said Jonathon Milne of FM Group. “Through these ambitious growth plans, this will be greatly enhanced as we look to create one of the Grenadines’ most unique and exclusive hotels. We have been investing in the region for many years and with the new international airport now open it is a great time to look at expanding.”

Work on the hotel component, which will bring the total number of rooms at the resort to 50, will begin in May 2020.

“This is a long-term project involving significant investment, demonstrating confidence in the government and people of St Vincent and the Grenadines,” said Kelly Glass of the K-Group.
