New Boutique Hotel Coming to Bequia: The Liming

By: - March 14th, 2018

Global boutique hotel management company ICMI is planning its Caribbean debut.

ICMI, or Inverlochy Castle Management International, is launching The Liming, a boutique hotel on the island of Bequia in the Grenadines.

The property, which is slated to open Nov. 1, 2018, will be a collection of nine private villas ranging from one to five bedroom options.

“Guests at The Liming hotel will be immersed in an experience shaped by the philosophy that doing nothing is an art-form,” ICMI said in a statement.

“As soon as you arrive on Bequia you get the sense that life on the island is a little different – that you’re entering the real Caribbean,” said Norbert Lieder, managing director of ICMI. “We wanted to design a concept that embodies this approach to life, something that offers guests the chance to enter the Bequia state of mind, with no added gimmicks or distractions.”

ICMI’s global portfolio is focused on a collection of boutique hotels, castles and lodges in Scotland.

The Liming, however, will be all about the authentic island experience, with amenities highlighted by private infinity pools in each of the villas.

“To stay on Bequia is to re-energise, recharge and rediscover one’s self while enjoying the privacy that comes with the exclusive island location,” Lieder said. “The Liming is entirely set up to channel pure escapism – a world away from the stresses of reality – and we’re excited to share this with guests when the hotel opens this November.”

It will enter a competitive boutique hotel market in Bequia, one that already boasts top hotels ranging from the Bequia Beach Hotel to the Firefly Bequia Plantation and the particularly lovely Sugar Reef, long a CJ favorite.
