How to Take an All-Inclusive Getaway in St Kitts

By: Alexander Britell - February 14, 2020

Historic inns, lush rainforests, classic beach bars.

St Kitts is a world away from the megaresort — a place for charm, for luxury and old-school Caribbean vibes.

But that doesn’t mean you can’t experience the destination with all-inclusive convenience.

Enter the Ocean Terrace Inn, the boutique hotel on the coast in Basseterre that’s now home to the island’s exclusive all-inclusive option.

The boutique hotel has a total of 34 rooms and suites, with the only lagoon pool in St Kitts and a pair of eateries.

It’s the only lagoon pool on the island of St Kitts.

Even better? The Ocean Terrace Inn’s all-inclusive program includes a welcome new trend in Caribbean travel: a dine-around option.

That means travelers can enjoy full access to the hotel’s two eateries: The Verandah and Fisherman’s Wharf, along with a complimentary dinner at either the celebrated Spice Mill eatery or Marshall’s Restaurant.

The all-inclusive program also includes welcome drinks, unlimited house wine, sparkling wine and house-brand spirits, a regular beach shuttle to both Carambola Beach and Frigate Bay Beach and free Wi-Fi, among other inclusions.

“With the all-inclusive [program], guests can make one payment for the trip then put their wallets away and simply enjoy a warm and wonderful getaway,” the OTI told Caribbean Journal

It’s a major new addition to St Kitts, which has been steadily climbing on the radar of Caribbean aficionados in recent years.

That’s come in large part due to a growing collection of hotels, from the renowned Park Hyatt St Kitts to the new Koi Resort, Curio Collection by Hilton, the latter of which just opened its doors last month.

It’s also easier to get to the island than ever before. St Kitts has been seeing a surge in visitors thanks in large part to new and expanded airlift from carriers like American Airlines and Air Canada, among others.
