The new Mahogany Bay in Belize is planning a December debut, the property announced this week.

The property, which will also include a beach club, is a new-build project set on 60 acres on Ambergris Caye.

It will be the first Hilton-branded project in Belize, taking the Curio — A Collection by Hilton brand.

“To bring this innovative lifestyle community to Belize has been a labor of love and a once-in-a-lifetime experience,” said Beth Clifford, founder and developer. “Every detail of the property from the guest room layout and hand-selecting the bathrobes to providing access to a pristine private beach was strategically designed with the traveler in mind. We are excited to offer guests a new level of luxury and a chic yet relaxed way to discover Belize.”

The project consists of 205 cottage and villa-style rooms set among coconut palm groves anchored by a 22,000-square-foot Great House.

Construction was done using sustainably-harvested local materials, according to the property.
