A new charitable initiative based in Florida is looking to bring brand-new dresses for young girls in the orphanages and resettlement camps of Port-au-Prince, Haiti.

It’s called 100 Dresses for Haiti, and it’s the brainchild of Linda Manla, who has swen all 100 dresses. Manla and Kathy Keith, both residents of Key Biscayne, Fla, are organizing the initiative.

Grace Intl’s Doris Jeune will begin distributing the dresses on Dec. 1.

Keith said the group was looking for people to sponsor each individual dress; as each dress is handed out, a picture will be taken of the recipient with her new dress.

The dresses are on display at the Key Biscayne Community Church.

Grace Intl will use the sponsorship funds to pay for around 10,000 Christmas Party toys at various locations in Haiti, something the organization has been doing for 18 years.
