Guyana, India Discuss Cooperation

Guyana and India met for a third round of political consultations Friday, with Guyanese Foreign Minister Carolyn Rodrigues-Birkett convening with Vivek Katju, Secretary of the Western Division of the Ministry of External Affairs. The two sides focused on political, economic trade and cultural cooperation, along with reviewing projects under the fourth Guyana/India Joint Commission. The two countries signed a Memorandum of Understanding in New Delhi in 2000 aimed at increasing ties between the two nations. [NCN Guyana]
