The first case of cholera has been reported in Puerto Rico beyond Hispaniola, where it has ravaged Haiti and parts of the Dominican Republic. It was the first case of cholera in Puerto Rico since the outbreak a few months ago, which was reportedly brought to Haiti by UN peacekeepers from Nepal. The 70-year old man infected had been visiting the Dominican Republic. He is currently hospitalized in San Juan. The United Nations Mission for the Stabilization of Haiti has denied responsibility for causing the cholera. [AP via Fox News Latino]
