Beaches Is Adding Another Resort in Jamaica, Between Montego Bay and Ocho Rios
Those secluded coves. The white-sand beaches. The green hills. Runaway Bay is one of the most beautiful places in Jamaica
Beaches, part of the Sandals Resorts International Portfolio, already has two resorts in Jamaica: the Beaches Negril and Beaches Ocho Rios.
The newest will be called Beaches Runaway Bay, with around a mix of 400 suites (including some villa-style units) and layouts from one to four bedrooms, a spokesperson for Sandals told Caribbean Journal.
The report will be a haven for active travelers, with biking trails, skateboarding and a major wellness focus. That’s along with a cool inclusion: a “climbable treehouse,” as the company describes it.
Guests will also get access to the nearby Runaway Bay Golf Club.
It’s part of a growing pipeline of Beaches resorts in the Caribbean, including the just-announced Beaches Barbados, as we reported. It’s also the second major Runaway Bay-area resort announced this month, along with Royalton’s planned CHIC resort.
Can’t wait for the debut? You can try either Beaches in Jamaica. Beaches Negril has rooms at around $1,315 per night, all-inclusive right now. The Beaches Ocho Rios resort has rooms starting at $893 per night right now, according to Google Hotels. And you can actually flight direct from Miami to Ocho Rios right now on American Airlines’ new service to Ian Fleming International Airport (yes, it’s named for the creator of James Bond, who wrote all of the 007 novels at his villa just nearby.
