Some of the biggest names in music have graced the shores of Casuarina Beach on Paradise Island in recent years, from Bruno Mars to Lady Gaga to Pitfall to Taylor Swift.

Now, another music superstar is coming to Atlantis Paradise Island’s Music Making Waves series: John Legend, the EGOT and 13-time Grammy winner, whose May 24 concert will kick off this year’s series.

The Memorial Day Weekend concert will include a special solo performance with songs, stories and reimaginings of some of Legend’s greatest hits, from “All of Me” to “Ordinary People.”

“Atlantis Paradise Island remains dedicated to bringing world-class entertainment to The Bahamas, creating extraordinary live music experiences for both visitors and the local community. We look forward to welcoming the incomparable John Legend as he kicks off our highly anticipated Music Making Waves series. With his soulful voice, timeless hits, and our stunning oceanfront setting, this concert promises to be a spectacular way to start the summer,” said Audrey Oswell, President and Managing Director of Atlantis Paradise Island.

The show only reinforces Atlantis’ position as arguably the top concert destination in the Caribbean, with the power to attract big-time stars to the sands of Paradise Island.

Atlantis has a packed lineup of events this year, including next month’s Nassau Paradise Island Wine and Food Festival.

Tickets start at $99, with $239 for diamond seating. That includes free shuttles to Atlantis’ hotels and parking lots. As is always the case, the event includes local food trucks with Bahamian flavors and a range of pop-ups.

Part of the proceeds will go toward the Atlantis Blue Project foundation, which is focused on ocean conservation.

What about room rates? You can find prices at $370.30 per night at The Coral at Atlantis for that weekend; The Royal will run you $494.25, while The Cove has rates starting at $884.25 per night for that weekend. As for flights, American has fares at $337 from Miami, according to Google Flights.
