Air Transat Is Adding More Flights to Cancun and Montego Bay for the Summer
Canadian carrier Air Transat is ramping up its service to popular Caribbean hotspots this summer, Caribbean Journal has learned.
That includes an additional weekly frequency between Montreal to Cancun on the Caribbean coast of Mexico and between Montreal and Puerto Plata on the north coast of the Dominican Republic.
Air Transat also plans to expand out of Toronto; Montego Bay, Jamaica and Varadero, Cuba are both getting an additional roundtrip flight each week, according to the company.
Cancun remains Air Transat’s top Caribbean destination for the summer, with a total of 18 flights each week, including nine from Montreal, seven from Toronto and one from Quebec City.

Varadero comes in second, with seven weekly flights, including four from Montreal and three from Toronto.
So what about prices?
Montreal-Cancun is running for about $512.71 roundtrip, according to the company’s website.
Toronto-Montego Bay is $548.81 in June.
