Winair Is Adding Flights to Another New Caribbean Island: St Vincent
St Vincent has been on the upswing lately, from new resorts (like Sandals’ big opening) to a host of new flights from all around the region – and the US.
Now, another carrier is getting in on the action: St Maarten-based Winair, which is launching flights to St Vincent next month.
New service between St Maarten and St Vincent will officially kick off on Nov. 15, the carrier confirmed to Caribbean Journal.
To start, the service will be operating twice weekly, with flights on Saturdays and Tuesdays. That could change depending on demand.
The service will provide the biggest boost for US travelers and European travelers who want to visit St Vincent but don’t have direct service. (Right now, the only US service to St Vincent is from Miami on American Airlines and from New York on JetBlue).
That means you can now fly to St Maarten then hop on a Winair flight to get to the Southern Caribbean hotspot.
What about prices?
Right now Winair is offering fares as low as $139 one-way, including taxes. That price is good through Dec. 12, the company said.
