JetBlue Is Doubling Its Daily Flights to Saint Lucia

By: Caribbean Journal Staff - April 3, 2024

Pitons, rainforests, chocolate, three-wall resorts. Saint Lucia is one of the region’s most romantic places, and now it’s about to get a whole lot easier to visit.

In a significant lift for the Eastern Caribbrean island, JetBlue is planning to double its daily service from New York to Saint Lucia this spring.

Beginning June 13, JetBlue will be operating two daily nonstop roundtrips between New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport and Saint Lucia’s Hewanorra International Airport.

The expanded service comes after talks between Saint Lucia tourism officials and JetBlue at the recent Routes Americas conference in Bogota.

Overall, Saint Lucia is reporting an extra 113,000 seats for 2024 compared to last year, including an additional 40,000 seats available for this summer.

“I am thrilled by the positive reports emerging from the Routes America Conference regarding the planned and additional expansion of airlift services to Saint Lucia,” said Dr. Ernest Hilaire, Minister of Tourism for Saint Lucia. “development will undoubtedly complement the growth in hotel room stock and alternative accommodation options.”
