Doubles, anyone?

British Airways is launching new nonstop flights to Port of Spain this month, Caribbean Journal has learned.

The new nonstop route from London Gatwick will launch Sunday, March 26, according to British Airways.

The route will be operating three times each week, with service on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays.

British Airways is operating the route on Boeing 7777 aircraft.

It’s a major boost for Trinidad’s budding tourism ambitions, and a gateway for British travelers to experience one of the most fascinating urban destinations in the Caribbean: Port of Spain, a cultural capital that also boasts one of the most vibrant food scenes in the wider region — including, yes, the city’s famous Doubles.
