Puerto Rico is one of the most beautiful places in the Caribbean.

Not that you’d necessarily know it — due to a combination of highly unfavorable media coverage, poor marketing and unfortunately resilient misconceptions, it’s an island that still remains a mystery for many travelers, even the most passionate Caribbean explorers.

That’s nowhere more true than in Isla Verde, the wonderful beach town about 15 minutes outside of San Juan, close to Luis Munoz Marin International Airport.
