Turks and Caicos Is Having Its Strongest Tourism Year Yet, With Record Arrivals, New Flights, and More Luxury Hotels on the Way

Turks and Caicos is surging again, with a new energy and serious momentum, according to the latest numbers.

Visitor arrivals increased year over year in January, February, March, April, May, and June, giving the destination its strongest first half on record and extending a run of growth that began after nearly two million total visitors came to the islands in 2025.

The Turks and Caicos Islands welcomed 384,590 stayover visitors during the first six months of 2026, an increase of six percent compared to the same period last year, according to new figures from Experience Turks and Caicos.

Second-quarter arrivals increased five percent, producing the highest total ever recorded for the period.

The new numbers arrive as Turks and Caicos prepares for a substantial expansion in air service, the opening of several new resorts, and the arrival of luxury hotel brands including Andaz, St. Regis, Janu, and Four Seasons.

Six Consecutive Months of Growth

The first-half results show consistent demand rather than a single seasonal spike.

Every month from January through June exceeded the corresponding month in 2025, according to the tourism authority. The performance builds on a record 2025 and confirms the continuing strength of Turks and Caicos among travelers seeking beach resorts, private villas, restaurants, boating excursions, and smaller-island experiences.

“The continued growth of the Turks and Caicos Islands is a reflection of the confidence travellers have in our destination and the exceptional experiences delivered by our tourism stakeholders every day,” said Minister of Tourism Zhavargo Jolly.

Jolly said the government remains focused on protecting the characteristics that have helped distinguish the islands while ensuring tourism creates meaningful opportunities for residents.

“As visitor arrivals reach new record highs, new luxury developments come on stream, and air connectivity continues to expand, we remain focused on preserving the qualities that make these islands so special,” he said.

The growth also comes as authorities report a 42 percent year-over-year reduction in violent crime. The US government’s travel advisory for Turks and Caicos remains at Level 2, unchanged since July 2023.

Experience Turks and Caicos said stronger safety protocols and greater police visibility have contributed to the decline.

More Nonstop Flights to Turks and Caicos

A major increase in air service is expected to support continued growth during the second half of the year and into 2027.

BermudAir is adding or expanding service between Providenciales and six US airports, with flights scheduled to operate between October and May 2027.

The network will include Newark, Boston, Baltimore, Raleigh-Durham, Fort Lauderdale, and St. Pete-Clearwater.

The Raleigh-Durham and St. Pete-Clearwater routes will become the first nonstop flights from those airports to Turks and Caicos, creating new direct links from North Carolina and Florida’s Gulf Coast.

The new flights will strengthen a market already heavily connected to the eastern United States. Providenciales has regular nonstop service from major gateways including Miami, Fort Lauderdale, New York, Boston, Atlanta, Charlotte, and Philadelphia.

A new route from the western United States will extend the destination’s reach even farther.

United Airlines is launching nonstop service between Denver and Providenciales in December, giving Turks and Caicos its westernmost direct US flight.

The Denver route will connect the islands with Colorado while creating additional one-stop itineraries from cities throughout the western United States.

The expansion gives travelers more choices for reaching Providenciales, the principal gateway to Grace Bay, Long Bay, Leeward, Turtle Tail, and the island’s growing collection of hotels and villas.

From Providenciales, ferries and domestic flights connect visitors with North Caicos, Middle Caicos, South Caicos, Grand Turk, and Salt Cay.

New Hotels Are Opening Across Providenciales

Turks and Caicos has already added 177 hotel rooms in 2026, with another 184 rooms scheduled to open later this year.

The year’s new inventory includes Hotel Indigo Turks and Caicos, located near Grace Bay Beach; Treasure Beach Village at Beaches Turks and Caicos; and 20 new suites at Ellipse Grace Bay.

Hotel Indigo has introduced a boutique IHG option near Grace Bay, along with Il Forno, its Italian restaurant.

Treasure Beach Village expands Beaches Turks and Caicos, one of the Caribbean’s largest family all-inclusive resorts. The property already includes several distinct resort villages, a major water park, numerous restaurants, and a long stretch of beachfront.

Ellipse Grace Bay has added 20 bespoke suites and Salina, a new restaurant serving the property and surrounding area.

The largest new opening expected this year is Andaz Turks and Caicos at Grace Bay, which will add 184 rooms and become the first Hyatt-branded resort in the destination.

The arrival of Andaz will also give World of Hyatt members a new option in Turks and Caicos, where the luxury hotel sector has traditionally been dominated by independent resorts, private villas, and a smaller group of international brands.

A New Group of Luxury Brands Is Coming

The resort pipeline extends into 2027 and beyond.

The St. Regis Turks and Caicos and The Residences are planned for Grace Bay Beach, bringing one of Marriott’s leading luxury brands to the destination.

Janu Turks and Caicos, the lifestyle-oriented sister brand to Aman, is also expected to open in 2027.

A future Four Seasons resort in Turks and Caicos is expected to be formally revealed, according to the tourism authority.

The new hotels will join a high-end collection that already includes Amanyara, COMO Parrot Cay, Grace Bay Club, The Shore Club, Wymara Resort and Villas, Rock House, The Palms, Point Grace, and Seven Stars Resort and Spa.

That’s along with outstanding independent hotels like the Kokomo Botanical Resort.

The continued arrival of major brands reflects confidence in a destination known for high room rates, luxury villas, direct US flights, and one of the Caribbean’s most famous beaches.

Turks and Caicos has also become one of the region’s leading villa destinations. Large beachfront homes in Long Bay, Leeward, Grace Bay, and Turtle Tail frequently include private pools, chefs, butlers, and boat charters arranged directly from nearby docks.

Providenciales Is Adding More Restaurants

The hotel expansion is also bringing new dining concepts to Providenciales.

Recent openings include AMBRA at Beach Enclave, Anchorage at Blue Haven Marina, Il Forno at Hotel Indigo, and Salina at Ellipse Grace Bay.

The additions strengthen a restaurant scene already central to the Turks and Caicos experience.

Grace Bay and the surrounding communities include longtime favorites ranging from beachfront seafood restaurants to fine-dining rooms, marina restaurants, and casual island spots serving conch, lobster, grilled fish, and Caribbean dishes.

The destination’s culinary identity extends well beyond resort dining. Da Conch Shack remains one of the best-known places to eat directly on the beach, while the Grace Bay restaurant corridor has become one of the Caribbean’s strongest dining districts.

New hotel restaurants will add more depth while giving returning visitors additional reasons to explore beyond the resort they choose.

What the New Numbers Mean for a Turks and Caicos Vacation

The record first-half performance points to a destination entering another phase of expansion.

More flights will make Turks and Caicos easier to reach from cities that previously required a connection. New hotels will broaden the range of places to stay, from a boutique Hotel Indigo to a large Andaz resort and forthcoming St. Regis and Janu properties.

The expansion also means travelers planning a Turks and Caicos vacation will have more choices across several categories: family all-inclusive resorts, luxury beachfront hotels, private villas, branded residences, and smaller independent properties.

Grace Bay will remain the center of the hotel market, but the broader destination continues to offer very different experiences.

Long Bay is known for shallow water, villas, and kiteboarding. Leeward has canals, docks, and large vacation homes. North and Middle Caicos offer quieter beaches, caves, farms, and long drives through less-developed island communities. South Caicos has emerged as another luxury destination with a more secluded character.

Grand Turk remains the historic center of the territory, with colonial-era streets, diving, and a very different atmosphere from Providenciales.

Turks and Caicos Heads Into the Second Half of 2026

The strongest first half in the destination’s history has created a high benchmark for the remainder of the year.

New flights from BermudAir and United will begin arriving as the winter season approaches. Andaz Turks and Caicos is expected to add 184 rooms to Grace Bay. The longer-term hotel pipeline will bring several of the world’s best-known luxury brands to the islands.

Turks and Caicos is already one of the Caribbean’s most in-demand destinations. The latest figures show demand is still rising, and the next group of flights, hotels, and restaurants is being built around the expectation that the growth will continue
