A New Ritz-Carlton Reserve Just Opened in Mexico With 91 “Sanctuaries” and a 28,000-Square-Foot Spa

Riviera Nayarit has a major new entry in the ultra-luxury space. Siari, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve, is now open, bringing one of the brand’s most ambitious projects to Mexico’s Pacific coast. The property sits inside Nauka, a private 920-acre enclave positioned between the Sierra Madre foothills and a long stretch of protected shoreline.
Designed by Mexico City studio Bernardi + Peschard Arquitectura, Siari introduces 91 standalone accommodations, from ocean-facing suites starting at 979 square feet to multi-bedroom villas built directly into the cliffside. A five-bedroom Presidential Estate anchors the top tier, while 34 private residences offer extended-stay options with direct access to one of the region’s largest swimmable beaches.
The culinary program is led by chef David Castro Hussong, who oversees the resort’s five dining venues. Zula highlights contemporary Nayarit cuisine; Estero focuses on coastal dishes in an open-air setting; Naao interprets Asian flavors through regional ingredients; and two additional concepts — a wood-fired kitchen and a patisserie created with chef Maribel Aldaco — add depth to the lineup. Bars and lounges, including a Library Bar with a strong mixology program, expand the food-and-beverage footprint.
Siari’s 28,000-square-foot wellness center, Há Yeka, is one of the resort’s signature offerings. The facility centers on hydrotherapy and treatments influenced by Nayarit’s natural environment, incorporating volcanic stone therapies, outdoor treatment rooms, and botanical elements sourced locally. The design puts water at the center of the experience, with hot-and-cold circuits and open-air spaces integrated into the surrounding landscape.
Beyond the wellness and dining programs, guests have access to the enclave’s broader amenities, including a Tom Fazio–designed championship golf course exclusive to residents and Siari guests, along with guided hikes, marine excursions, and a family-focused learning space called The Wild Kinship Center.
Siari is reachable via Puerto Vallarta International Airport, a 45-minute drive, or Tepic International Airport, 35 minutes away. Tepic gained new service this winter with United Airlines’ Saturday nonstop flights from Houston, improving access to the northern Pacific coast. Private arrivals can use Nauka’s on-site helipads and deep-slip marina.
The opening expands the Ritz-Carlton Reserve portfolio to nine properties worldwide, adding a new high-end coastal option in a region that continues to see growing demand for secluded luxury developments.
What about prices? The rates are rather appealing for a Reserve-level property, with rooms starting at $899 per night right now, according to Google Hotels.
