The Hyatt Aruba Just Added “Sunset Studios,” a New-Look Lobby and the Island’s First Kosher Steakhouse

By: Alexander Britell - May 6, 2025 - 11:10 am

A new-look lobby. New “sunset studios.” The first-ever kosher steakhouse in Aruba. The Hyatt Aruba has completed what it’s calling a “transformative” renovation, and now the results are in.

So what’s new? A redesigned, open-air lobby, a reimagined signature eatery (Ruinas Del Mar) and a new “Governor’s Suite,” which has 2,745 square feet of interior space and three different balconies, among other amenities.

The Hyatt Aruba has also added new rooms called “sunset studios.” They’re brand-new accommodations, with floor-to-ceiling balcony doors that are all about capturing the famous sunsets on Aruba’s Palm Beach.

The lobby has a new open-air look.

That’s along with another new eatery called Piccolo: a kosher certified (by Chabad Aruba) steakhouse that’s the only one of its kind on the island (and the only true kosher steakhouse in the Caribbean).

The kosher steakhouse is a nod to a growing trend in the region, one that kicked off with the Baha Mar opening the kosher Cinko eatery in Nassau back in 2021.

It’s a very clever way to draw kosher travelers; with so few kosher options around the Caribbean, having a single kosher eatery is a major draw for an increasingly large segment of travelers.

Ruinas del Mar is the Hyatt’s signature eatery.

What else do you need to know about the hotel? It has 359 guestrooms and suites, a three-level pool complex, a spa, a casino and more than 9,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor event space.

The resort is about a 15-minute drive from Queen Beatrix International Airport in the Palm Beach area of the island, the de facto tourism capital of Aruba, home to most of its top hotels and one of our favorite Caribbean beaches.

So what about prices? The Hyatt Aruba has rooms starting at $789 per night right now, according to Hyatt’s website.
