Why John Legend Is Coming to Saint Lucia — And How You Can Join Him
The Pitons. Rodney Bay. The drive-through volcano. The diving. Saint Lucia is full of charms, but you may not realize it’s home to one of the Caribbean’s top music festivals, too.
And this year’s Saint Lucia Jazz and Arts Festival is getting a big boost, with music superstar John Legend set to headline.
Legend will be coming to Saint Lucia for the 2025 edition, which runs from April 30 to May 11, concluding the Ultimate Celebration concert on May 11 joined by Earth, Wind and Fire among others.
It’s a start-studded festival, with big names including Bernie Man, Summer Walker, Tabou Combo and Sizzle, among others.
“Our Jazz & Arts festival has been going strong for more than 30 years, thanks to the much sought after artists that we continue to collaborate with. Visitors come from all around the world to enjoy the lineup along with the warm hospitality of our people and the stunning setting of Saint Lucia. 2025 sees us build on the wonderful art component that we reintroduced in 2023 as well as the hugely successful music programming with global and local artists from jazz and gospel to reggae, pop, and now country music,” said Saint Lucia Tourism Minister Ernest Hilaire, in a statement provided to Caribbean Journal.
The festival as been running for more than three decades, headquartered at the Pigeon Island National Park with satellite events all over the island.
The event will be Legend’s first major appearance in the Caribbean since a 2021 concert at the Baha Mar in Nassau.
If you’re planning to attend the event, the best option is by staying at one of the Bay Gardens Resorts in Rodney Bay. We particularly loved the Bay Gardens Beach Resort when we visited, which has rooms for that period at around $316 per night.
