It’s the only event of its kind in the Caribbean: a 2.5-mile open water swim that takes you between two different islands.

The Nevis to St Kitts Cross Channel Swim is marking its 24th anniversary this year, with the race across the famous “Narrows” running on March 29.

The race is equally welcoming for competitive swimmers and those who want to just take a leisurely snorkel through the water.

The race starts at Nevis’ Oualie Beach, concluding at the iconic Reggae Beach Bar in St Kitts’ Cockleshell Bay.

If you’re planning to attend, you can find out more here.

What about hotel prices? You can find rooms at the Royal St Kitts hotel that Weeknd for about $172 per night.

The St Kitts Marriott has prices starting at $355 per night.

Flights to St Kitts can be found on major carriers like American Airlines from Miami, United from Newark; JetBlue and AA from New York and AA from Charlotte.
